Fever is usually caused by an infection and is the body's form of defense against these bacteria. Yet children are always a delicate case even in something as simple as a fever. Yes, that x-ray contraption sure does look scary. Anyway, I'm glad that your daughter has finally recovered.

Marcus Larson
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16610229796645086027noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7641802226877218014.post-89782295974477420782012-06-15T08:35:43.151-07:002012-06-15T08:35:43.151-07:00It is really sad and heart wrenching when your chi...It is really sad and heart wrenching when your child gets sick. It sounds like you went through an ordeal from the moment you realized her fever to the hospital and the needles (do not get me started on needles).

your first three lines sounded like how I felt when I awoke to seeing my son have a night seizure for the first time. My forth line would have been BAWL.

All you have to do is stay strong and keep a smile an your face, because kids read emotions and feed off of them.

Following you from the hop.
Jillian
http://puzzlemecomplete.blogspot.com/Jillian Carreirahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07096900545493484897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7641802226877218014.post-44635297354905973792011-06-20T13:42:54.254-07:002011-06-20T13:42:54.254-07:00I had to take my son to the ER back in November wh...I had to take my son to the ER back in November when he was only 10 months old and he was put into that torture device, not once but twice. The first time they said that a shadow appeared around his heart and they had to make sure it wasn't an enlarged heart. Come to find out it was just a shadow on the X-ray.Robert's Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05442855157950667987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7641802226877218014.post-88261758369713905002011-06-19T08:35:08.713-07:002011-06-19T08:35:08.713-07:00I hope if you have a son you do NOT get him circum...I hope if you have a son you do NOT get him circumcised. It's totally unnecessary and it's cutting off part of the natural part of the penis. Look at your daughter's eyes and she if she has the typical circles under her eyes...known as allergy shiners. Or just take her off dairy for a week and see if she improves. Little kids tend to get high fevers but it is important to address them and get them down quickly. I had to rush my baby to the hospital with an equally high fever. She was dehydrated (badly) was put on IV and had to stay for the night. Thank goodness she was fine 24 hours later.

All this to let you know you did the right thing, and I am happy to hear it was nothing serious.

Nice to have met you on the blog hop.Merylhttp://departingthetext.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7641802226877218014.post-14537561336194462952011-04-02T18:27:03.944-07:002011-04-02T18:27:03.944-07:00Sometimes the world of medicine seems like it'...Sometimes the world of medicine seems like it's back in Medieval times. That inventor of that device should be shut in it for a 24-hour period, or maybe five days, the duration of your daughter's fever.

Sorry to hear your daughter had such an experience. I'm glad the fever has gone away.
